Giveaway Policy

At Canoe Creek Armory, we are committed to conducting our business in full compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including those enforced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). This Giveaway Policy outlines the terms and conditions of our giveaways to ensure that all promotions are carried out legally and ethically.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in any giveaway hosted by Canoe Creek Armory, participants must meet the following requirements:

1. Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 21 years of age (or the legal age in their state for purchasing firearms, whichever is greater).

2. Location: Only residents of the United States (excluding jurisdictions where firearms are prohibited) are eligible. Certain states or localities may have laws that prohibit the possession of certain firearms or accessories.

3. Legal Compliance: Participants must be legally permitted to own and possess firearms in their state of residence. By entering, participants confirm they are not prohibited from purchasing or possessing firearms under federal or state law.

Giveaway Rules

1. Firearms: Any giveaway offering firearms as a prize will require the winner to undergo a Federal Firearms License (FFL) transfer process. Winners must pass a background check via a licensed FFL dealer before receiving the firearm. The firearm will only be transferred to the winner if they meet all legal requirements.

2. Non-Firearm Prizes: For giveaways offering non-firearm prizes (e.g., accessories, gear, ammunition), winners will receive the prize in accordance with applicable laws. No background check or FFL transfer is required for non-firearm prizes.

3. No Firearm Sales to Prohibited Persons: If a participant is found to be a prohibited person under federal law (e.g., convicted felon, under indictment, etc.), they will be disqualified from the giveaway, and a new winner will be selected.

4. Compliance with ATF Regulations: We will not conduct any giveaways or promotions involving firearms or ammunition that would violate federal, state, or local laws, including the ATF’s regulations regarding the distribution and possession of firearms.

5. ATF Reporting: Canoe Creek Armory will comply with all ATF regulations and reporting requirements when transferring firearms to winners. This includes proper documentation of all FFL transfers and background checks.

6. Transfer Fees: If a firearm is awarded as part of a giveaway, the winner may be responsible for paying all applicable fees, including but not limited to FFL transfer fees, taxes, and shipping costs.

7. Winner Verification: Before the transfer of any firearm, Canoe Creek Armory reserves the right to verify the winner’s eligibility by checking their background and confirming they are legally allowed to receive the firearm. This verification is mandatory, and the winner may be required to provide additional documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

Prohibited Actions

1. No Resale of Firearms: Winners of firearm-related giveaways are prohibited from reselling the firearm or transferring it to another party unless in compliance with applicable firearms laws, including FFL transfers.

2. False Information: Participants who provide false or misleading information regarding their eligibility or other aspects of the giveaway will be disqualified immediately, and any prizes awarded may be forfeited.

Liability

By entering the giveaway, participants agree to hold Canoe Creek Armory harmless from any liability related to the prize, including but not limited to accidental injury, death, or legal consequences resulting from the transfer or use of the prize.

Changes to the Giveaway Policy

Canoe Creek Armory reserves the right to modify or cancel any giveaway at any time if it is deemed necessary due to changes in federal, state, or local laws or any other reason that may impact the legality of the promotion.
