Please read and sign before sending any projects.
1. Acceptance of Firearms
All firearms received must be accompanied by a valid government-issued photo ID from the owner and, where applicable, proof of legal ownership. Firearms not legally owned or transferred in compliance with all ATF regulations will be refused.
All firearms received for service must be unloaded. No loaded firearms or ammunition may be submitted with firearms for repair or customization.
2. Timeframe for Completion
Turnaround times for services vary based on the complexity of the work. Approximate timelines are as follows:
-
Basic Cleaning & Inspection: 5–30 business days
-
Parts Replacement (including time for ordering parts or specialty tools): 5–60 business days
-
Barrel Threading or Other Machining Services: 30–90 business days
While we strive to meet or beat these estimated timeframes, delays may occur due to parts availability, tooling, or workload. Customers will be notified of significant delays as needed.
3. Firearms Shipped to Us for Service
Customers may ship firearms to us for service under the following conditions:
-
All inbound shipments must comply with ATF and carrier regulations. Firearms must be shipped from the legal owner or a licensed FFL holder if required by law.
-
We recommend insuring all shipments and using tracked services. We are not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged shipments caused by carriers.
-
A copy of your driver’s license (or FFL if applicable) and a detailed description of requested services must be included in the box.
-
Upon completion, the firearm will be returned only to the individual or FFL listed on the original paperwork. Return shipping will be charged to the customer.
-
Firearms will not be returned until all service fees and shipping costs are paid in full.
4. Deposits and Payment Terms
A deposit is required before any work will begin. The deposit amount may vary based on the scope of the project but will typically be 25%–50% of the estimated total cost.
-
Deposits are non-refundable once parts are ordered or work has started.
-
Remaining balances must be paid in full before the firearm is released or shipped back.
-
We accept [cash, credit card, certified check, etc.].
5. Storage and Abandonment
Customers will be contacted when their firearm is ready for pickup or shipping.
Firearms not claimed within 30 days of notification may incur a $5/day storage fee. After 180 days, unclaimed items may be considered abandoned property and disposed of or sold to recover costs, in accordance with local and federal laws.
6. Firearm Condition & Pre-Existing Damage
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, unknown malfunctions, or manufacturer defects. Firearms will be visually inspected upon intake, and any visible issues will be documented.
7. Limited Warranty
All workmanship is guaranteed for 30 days from the date of pickup or shipment. This limited warranty covers labor only and does not extend to parts, normal wear, or customer modifications. Any claim must be submitted with a dated copy of the service receipt.
8. Liability Disclaimer
By submitting your firearm for service, you agree to the following:
-
Canoe Creek Armory is not liable for loss, damage, theft, or destruction of firearms due to fire, flood, criminal acts, or other events beyond our control while in our possession.
