The Mk47 platform is CMMG’s mid-size AR platform, utilizing more robust receivers and components, like the PowerBolt Technology, without adding unneeded bulkiness. If the magwell on the Mk47s looks ready to take AK-pattern magazines, you would be right. Since AK magazines were designed around the 7.62x39mm cartridge CMMG figured if it’s not broke why fix it?
